How we collect data:
- Mailing List: We collect personal data when you join our mailing list. This information is protected by UK data protection law. We use MailChimp, an email marketing service which is brilliant for small businesses like ours, to store your email address and name. We use it to send our newsletters and track interactions from those newsletters to improve our communication. You can find out more about MailChimp’s privacy policy here.
- Participant data: We collect personal data when you participate in a project, training session or workshop with us. This information will never be personally identifiable. The information we request helps us to track who we are working with, and ensure we are meeting our company aims. It also helps us report to our funders, who help make the projects happen.
- Recruitment: We are required by law to obtain specific personal data during recruitment process, to ensure that we meet our safeguarding obligations, and the access needs of those we work with.
What do we use your data for?
We use your data for the following reasons:
- To keep you up to date with the latest news from Art with Heart, regarding performances, events, training or fundraising campaigns
- To request feedback on our performances, training and workshops services to ensure we provide you with relevant, accessible and quality experiences
- To ensure we are meeting our company aims
- To provide important statistics to funders and project partners, who help make our work happen
- For recruitment and safeguarding purposes

We protect all the personal data we collect. We never share your data with third parties without your consent and will never sell your personal information. It’s sometimes necessary for third party providers to access your data to perform services on our behalf, such as mailchimp, who provide our email marketing services. Know your rights:
Opt out: You can change your mind at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of any email you receive from us. We’ll be sad to see you go, but we will respect your decision and delete your data.
Amending your data: You have the right to ask us to amend your personal data and can request this via email or in writing.
Keeping data up to date: You can ask us to update your data at any point.
